Software Development

Eatec has considerable experience of developing software programs to satisfy particular requirements of clients in the engineering industry. Generally, Eatec becomes involved where a specific tool for designers or those involved in research activities is required in order that tasks can be performed more efficiently, or more thoroughly.

Projects undertaken by Eatec have involved the development of software to provide the client with the ability to undertake:
  Simulation
  Prediction
  Visualisation
Collation of test results and data archiving
Eatec's engineers work closely with the client to establish current and possible future requirements. Sometimes the software development is part of a Mathematical Modelling project, in which Eatec develops the understanding of the physics of the requirement, as well as developing the software program.

Where the physics of a problem is highly complex and dependent upon many parameters, Neural Network Modelling can be used to identify the relationship between input parameters and the output, and this relationship can then be incorporated into a software program to provide a predictive tool.

Eatec has undertaken software development for clients in industries that include:
  Oil & gas
  Defence
  Telecommunications

Examples of projects completed by Eatec include the development of:
A software package for the prediction of the static and dynamic behaviour of drill bits used by the oil and gas industry
Software for rapid post-processing and visualisation of vibration data
A database and accessing tools for large quantities of test data for research purposes
