Identification of in-service loads and behaviour

In order that products can be enhanced, it is necessary to have a full understanding of the loads and environment which the design will experience. The manner in which the design will behave is not always known if the loading is complex or constantly changing. Eatec has undertaken testing, using existing designs, to identify how the structure behaves under normal and extreme or unusual loads, as well as to identify maximum and typical loads. Using this information, designers have been able to enhance product designs.

Examples of this type of work include:
Instrumentation and monitoring of a railway track control device to establish the loads experienced as a result of passing trains.
Development of measurement systems, monitoring and post-processing of vibration data to identify phenomena occurring at the drill bit / rock interface during oil and gas recovery.
