Research

Research can be required for a number of reasons, including:
  Investigating new ideas and concepts
Obtaining a better appreciation of the parameters which affect the behaviour of a design
Obtaining an improved understanding of the environment in which the design will operate

Eatec has a range of skills and expertise which enable it to undertake research across a wide range of disciplines.

Research undertaken by Eatec for its clients has taken many forms, including:
  Development and assessment of concepts
Development of testing and measurement methods and equipment
Characterisation of the behaviour of components or assemblies
  Literature searches
  In-service measurements
  Testing
Eatec can undertake research in conjunction with the client's research engineers, or can address the complete requirement.

Examples of research work undertaken by Eatec include:
Assessment of concept ideas for a towed underwater body
Establishing the damping behaviour of different forms of joining thin panels
Identifying the non-linear response characteristics of shock mounts
Establishing the relationship between material properties of rubber and its process parameters and composition
